Oil & Minerals
The African Oil and Minerals industry is a lucrative but risky business. YI Partners has decades of experience within Oil and Mineral supply chain, including the extraction, processing and distribution of various oil grades and minerals. As a result, we have developed the expertise and network identify and realise oil and mineral trading and investment opportunities.

Technology & Telecommunications is a leading sector throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Major technology and e-commerce platforms from both within and outside the continent are investing aggressively in the commercial potential created by Africa’s large young and increasingly wealthy population. This is so even despite the challenges of low penetration rates and legacy infrastructure, which will soon subside as development continues in what is already the world’s fastest growing telecommunications region.

Real Estate & Infrastructure
Together with our Real Estate & Infrastructure partners, YI provides a highly experienced team of finance, architecture, real estate and engineering professionals capable of developing projects from design to completion. We are active in the Retail, Leisure and Entertainment real estate sectors, providing services to tenants, owners and investors. We are also able to design, build and manage shopping centres and conduct town planning. We work with a range of investors from investment funds to family offices to identify projects that fit their investment objectives.

YI Partners works closely with Keldi Architectes and Chris Igwe International to provide a complete real estate and infrastructure team. This team is comprised of finance, architecture, real estate and engineering professionals who are able to develop projects from design to completion.
Chris Igwe is a global authority in the world of Retail and Retail Real Estate. He has helped countless retailers and brands expand into new markets and across regions. He has also helped architects and designers provide the most suitable shopping centres or retail projects to suit the local community. Chris has further advised many of the largest shopping centre owners, investors and well-known advisory firms. He understands changing consumer habits and behaviours as well as how they influence strategic and operational decisions within projects.
Chris has a considerable network of international business partners, service providers and contacts in all areas of the real estate industry, including those active in the efficient use of digital tools and technology for the benefit of all parties. His business experience spans over 35 years living and working in many countries.
